With heavy hearts, we pay tribute to Opanyin Emma Hammond, a cherished mother, mentor, and pillar of the Madina Circuit MGF. Opanyin Emma was more than a leader to us in the Circuit Girls’ Fellowship; she was a source of encouragement, joy, and unwavering support.
She took great pride in the growth and discipline of the girls, always beaming with happiness whenever we successfully completed our ribbon tests. The joy with which she watched us wear our colours on our sashes and present them to the church will forever remain etched in our memories. Her commitment to nurturing young girls in faith, character, and service was evident in all she did.
In recognition of her dedication and experience, Opanyin Emma served as one of the examiners for our 3rd Biennial Conference in August 2025, a role she carried out with diligence, fairness, and genuine concern for the spiritual and personal development of the girls.
Affectionately called “Aunty Emma,” she touched many lives with her warmth, humility, and motherly love. Her presence brought reassurance, and her words inspired confidence and perseverance.
Though she is no longer with us physically, her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the values she instilled in us. Op Emma, you will be dearly missed, but your impact will never be forgotten.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. 🕊️
